Varus is the next champ to be released, possibly in the next two weeks. We got a short tease of him at PAX East and there’s even some gameplay footage of him about. Riot is really knocking it out of the park with their newest champs.
Here’s what we know so far:

Living Vengeance(Passive):On champion kill or assist, Varus gains 40% attack speed for 6 seconds. On minion kill, Varus gains 20% attack speed for 3 seconds.
This is going to make farming and pushing a lane super easy, as well as picking off champions in team fights.
Piercing Arrow (Q): On first cast Varus starts pulling his bow back and charging the arrow. On second cast Varus fires, dealing physical damage, reduced by 15% per enemy hit (minimum 33%). While preparing to shoot Varus’ movement speed is slowed by 20%. After 4 seconds, Piercing Arrow fails but refunds half its mana cost. Range: 925
Cost: 70 / 75 / 80 / 85 / 90 mana
Minimum Damage: 10 / 43 / 77 / 110 / 143 (+x per attack damage)
Maximum Damage: 15 / 65 / 115 / 165 / 215 (+x per attack damage)
This means you can start casting this while chasing, charging it and then sniping them in the back. And by the sound of it, it can go through multiple targets like Graves Buckshot. This could be devastating to a team fight if they’re foolish enough to clump together.
Blighted Quiver (W): Varus’ basic attacks deal bonus magic damage and apply Blight for 6 seconds (stacks 3 times)(Passive)
Varus’ other abilities detonate Blight, dealing magic damage equal to a percentage of the target’s maximum health per stack. This damage is capped against monsters.
Magic Damage: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 (+0.2 per ability power)
Blight Damage per Stack: / 2 / 2.8 / 3.5 / 4.3 / 5 (+x per ability power)
This is a really low AP ratio, but that it applies to all of his auto attacks is awesome. Kind of like Teemo’s Poison Shot. Except Teemo’s mushrooms don’t make the poison shot do even MORE damage if you get hit by both.
Hail of Arrows (E): Varus fires a hail of arrows that deals physical damage and desecrates the ground for 4 seconds. Desecrated Ground reduces healing effects by 50% and slows enemy movement speed.
Cost: 70 mana
Physical Damage: 60 / 100 / 140 / 180 / 220 (+x per bonus attack damage)
Slow Amount: 20 / 24 / 28 / 32 / 36%
This is Varus’ utility, hit your targets with this to slow them, auto attack to apply Blight stacks then hit them with Piercing Arrow.
Chain of Corruption: (R): Varus flings out a tendril of corruption that deals magic damage and immobilizes the first enemy champion hit for 2 seconds.
The corruption then spreads towards nearby uninfected enemy champions, applying the same damage and immobilize if it reaches them.
Cost: 45/50/100 (was bugged during PAX) mana
Magic Damage: 150 / 250 / 350 (+1.0 per ability power)
Another terrifying ability for team fights. Either use this to initiate, or to lock down runners when they try to disengage.
I personally can’t wait to see him in action and I’m farming up the IP to buy him on release day. He should be available on the PBE either this week or next.
