This Week in Movie News

First off we’ve got two new photos from The Amazing Spider-Man. One of Andrew Garfield as Peter and the gorgeous Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy. Not sure how I feel about that photo of Peter but Gwen never lets me down. Also late last week or early this week some merchandise photos for the Amazing Spider-Man popped up with images of the Lizard. I am not pleased. He looks like Killer Croc without a tail. The Lizard has ALWAYS had an elongated alligator-esque face. I was excited about this movie, but now I’m kind of conflicted.

Seriously it's like Gwen just stepped out of the comics.

20th Century Fox has released a new trailer and clip for their teens with superpowers flick Chronicle.

The first TV spot for Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance has started showing up.

In more exciting news, to me anyways, Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the modern day Sherlock in the BBC show of the same name, has been cast in JJ Abrams Star Trek sequel. He will be playing the villain, which is rumored to be KHAAAAAAAAAN!

Some losers were reporting that they couldn’t understand Bane in the IMAX preview for the Dark Knight Rises. To them I say, he’s wearing a gas mask thing over his face! There were some reports stating that the audio had been remixed so that he could be better understood but those reports have now been rescinded. Nolan is standing by his vision and I think it’s ridiculous to make them go through all of the work required to remix his audio just because you have hearing problems.
